Can People with Bipolar Disorder be affected with Depression?

A disorder may be of any nature or type, but can affect one’s body in many ways. Bipolar disorder is one of the most influencing disorders. This is because those who are affected by bipolar disorders usually tend to switch their moods between that of the depressed and mania. Popularly known as manic depressive disorder, bipolar disorder has been classified into different types. They are cyclothymiacs, bipolar I, bipolar II and other types which are based on severity and nature of one’s mood. This classification is made by experts to make their work easier to treat a patient affected with bipolar disorders. The doctors even feel that if they come to know that what the exact problem is, a patient is facing then they can treat the patient with a tailor made treatment. This classification therefore saves time. As per data of bipolar disorders in United States of America, it can be seen that bipolar II and cyclothymiacs are among the least found while bipolar 1 is among the most problematic ones. It is even known that such elevated disorders tempt victims to commit suicide. Bipolar disorders can be treated if proper medical aid is taken up such as mood stabilizers or some other medicines such as the psychiatric drugs.
