What are the safety concerns of with NDRIs

Altough quite effective in treating depression, one should be well aware of all the safety concerns related to the usage of this particular medication.

Bupripion can increase a person’s blood pressure so it is important to have the blood pressure monitored as often as possible. A person having this particular medication is more likely to have high blood pressure if he is taking nicotine patches at that time in order to quit smoking.

There is also a chance, albeit a small one, of having a seizure if a person uses NDRIs. This is most likely if that person has had previous seizures head injuries or eating disorders. Due to this reason it is highly recommended for a person to avoid this medication if he had a history of seizures of eating disorders. This also applied if the person is a sporadic drinker. The person should inform his physician of all of his medical histories when consulting him about the usage of this drug.

Because the interaction of some mediation can be potentially dangerous it is recommended that a person not use this medication if he has a record of using monoamise oxidase inhibitors (MOIs).

These are the safety issues that a person who wants to use NDRIs must be well aware of before taking it.
