What are the secrets behind the suicidal aspects of antidepressants?

A silent conspiracy exists between the media and Big Pharma. It is such a powerful one that the many hazards associated with the use of psychiatric drugs rarely reach the eyes and ears of the public. As shown recently by the death of Heath Ledger, the victim is the first to be blamed. But the true reasons behind the problems regarding behaviour lies with the chemicals that change the way the brain works (hence changing behaviour).

Proof has arisen that patients who take a certain type of antidepressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) actually cause the chances of committing suicide to escalate. While accusations such as these are vigorously debated by many psychiatrists and pharmaceutical industries; experimental, epidemiological and case study results keep on supporting that such a connection is present. The proof reflects that for patients taking SSRIs, the probability of committing suicide nearly doubles, as opposed to those who do not take psychiatric drugs. The rising chances do not seem to be co-related to the form of diagnosis or additional health factors.

What’s worse, recent information printed in the journal PLoS Medicine shows that antidepressant drugs are not any better than placebo at lowering depression. This study viewed all clinical tests performed on SSRIs, not only the medicines chosen by the drug companies. It was uncovered that SSRI drug producers were engaged in forgery in hiding tests whose results were negative. Now, everyone knows that the fabrication of medical complications and false excitement regarding antidepressant drugs was based on complete scientific fraud.
