What are the side effects SNRIs?
SNRI or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors can cause many side effects in a human body. But everyone does not develop side effects. Most people can tolerate them, while only a minor percent will actually face problems. However, these side effects do not require much attention, and can be cured with or without the help from a doctor. This side effect depends on the age, type of SNRI dosage, intake of other medicines and other medical disabilities.
A study has been done on a number of people taking SNRI and compared their changes occurred with those who did not take SNRI. In this way it was possible to see how the side effects occur and how they compare with non SNRI takers. Some of these side effects included body weakness, anxiety, abnormal dreams, headache, cough, shakiness, insomnia etc.
Apart from that, there are a few other numbers of serious side effects SNRI can induce. But its important to remember that these serious side effects are very rare and do not occur to everyone. The side effects include hostility, difficulty sleeping, faster heart rate, suicidal thought, chest palpitations etc.
One may undergo few or none of the side effects mentioned above. The most critical part is that there is no way in which the doctor will be able to know the side effects before prescribing a medicine. Therefore one should always consult the doctor as soon as these side effects are experienced.
